Georgia Center for Resource and Support A centralized resource for foster and adoptive parents to help them locate the help they needed to be successful in meeting the needs of their foster and adopted children.
Georgia Department of Community Health Searchable database for doctors, dentists, therapists, etc. who accept Medicaid.
Bethany Christian Services Infertility Ministry A Christ-centered ministry for couples facing infertility challenges or pregnancy loss. The Bethany Christian Services website also has other resources for people interested in fostering and adopting.
Kids Ferst Register your preschool children (birth to their 5th birthday) to receive free books.
Gilmer County Library Kids' page for the Sequoyah Regional Library System. Storytimes at the Gilmer County Library are Wednesdays (10 AM for preschool and 11 AM for babies.)

Adoption Tax Credit Beginning in 2003, families adopting a child with special needs from foster care were able to access a federal adoption tax credit without needing to document expenses. For tax year 2006, the tax credit is $10,960 per child and parents have this year and up to the next five years in which to claim the credit.
